Our rate accounts for the fact that we have invested in today's and yesterday's
most popular music on authentic vinyl pressings (still the best music format,
according to audiophiles); a business license; a music license; and liability
insurance. When encountering a "professional" whose claim to fame is being
able to beat such a price for an entire event, ask if they at least have the
proper licenses and insurance; in other words, ask them if they are legitimately professional.
Also, we do not charge tax. Please note that, in order for a DJ service to
legitimately charge tax, it must gross at least $30 000 per year (at, say, $500
per event, this is at least 60 events per year); in other words, the DJ services
that should be charging tax are the higher priced ones, and/or the companies
that have a number of DJs and systems.
Additional Lighting & Special Effects Packages:
Twilight -- Currently At No Extra Charge! Twilight
Plus -- Currently At No Extra Charge! Atmosphere
-- $300
Unlike many other DJs with self-operated lighting, our designated light
technician (Craig) provides all specialty lighting services, allowing Johnny to
focus his attention on the music and sound that you deserve; at the same time,
there is an assistant on hand, making sure that everybody's requests are
noted--you get more than "I'll see what I can do." |
